Malcolm has labored within the arts and occasions area since 1981 and held positions starting from Box Office Co-ordinator to Sponsorship Manager to General Manager. Akeshia is an Aboriginal lady who completed her Indigenous Mental Health clinician training by way of Charles Sturt University in 2008. She has been working in a variety of roles supporting the psychological health of Indigenous people is keen about using culture to enhance the psychological health of her neighborhood, the focus of her PhD. Our speakers will present case studies of exemplary practice in the burgeoning area ofarts in health, along with a sequence of provocations for policymakers, artists, health professionals and health shoppers.

From an Arts Council perspective, good arts and health practice is characterised by a clear creative vision, targets and outcomes. It aims to promote health and wellbeing by enhancing quality of life and cultural access in healthcare settings.

The inventive arts intervention promoted short-term well-being on this pattern of family caregivers. Caregivers reported considerably reduced stress, decreased anxiousness, and elevated constructive feelings after taking part in the intervention. They also reported increases in optimistic communications with most cancers patients and health care suppliers.
